I went to such a fascinating and spectacular exhibition today: 'The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier - From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk' in Kunsthal Rotterdam. When you enter the first hall you're immediately overwhelmed by beautiful religious-inspired dresses worn by mannequin dolls. When you look a bit longer these dolls come alive with interactive faces created by technologically ingenious audiovisual projections. Really a-ma-zing.
In every hall you enter a different world. From marine to erotic and bondage, from punk to beautiful pieces inspired by non-western cultures. From the beginning to the end the exhibition is a feast for the eyes (and for the heart! It's still beating fast writing about it!).
'From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk' will be in the Kunsthal till May 12.
