TREASURY

I'm thankful my products are featured in many Treasury Lists on Etsy lately. I picked out these two cause of  their great style and color combination.

Treasury from illustrator Manu from Turin, Italy.
Treasury from Katerina Balyuk from Kiev, Oekraine.

LISTEN

Plate 'Listen'

"   Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force.
The friends who listen to us are the once we move toward.
When we are listened to, it creates us, makes us unfold and expand.  "

{Karl Menninger}

WELCOME IN MY HOME

The four friends, les belles dames, are very different from each other. And that's why they're such good friends! They complement each other in many different ways.

Besides their different personalities and life styles, les dames also have different types of houses. I sometimes decorate my pots and plates with these houses so people get to know the girls a little bit better.

1. Madeleine's apartment
2. The family house of Marie Louise
3. Jeanne's little house in the woods
Now on Etsy!

WHAT'S NEW

New red-blue-white plate, soon on Etsy!

New golden rimmed teapot Jeanne. Soon on Etsy!

And my new red boots.. Not for sale!

RED - WHITE - BLUE

These items below rushed out of the shop so fast that I didn't have time to show them to you. I love the combination of red, white and blue. Was I inspired by the colours of the Dutch (or French) flag?? I don't know.. But what I do know is that there will be new comparable items in the shop soon!

TREASURY

I am proud to be in this beautiful Treasury called 'Gray Skies Are Gonna Clear Up'! It is put together by Hello Penny.

Do you see the red 'Believe in Goodness' print in the middle of this Treasury? It is made by the king of paper cutting Rob Ryan. I think his work is amazing! For my birthday a week ago my dear sister gave me his BEAUTIFUL book called 'This is for you'. Find out more about Mr. Rob here.

VISITING JEANNE

Hélène is a city girl. She has a hectic and flamboyant lifestyle. Sometimes she needs a break and stays the weekend with Jeanne in the woods. The long conversations with her best friend and the natural environment give Hélène new energy and inspiration to follow her dreams.

:: Little ones ::

I am working on miniature pieces of glazed porcelain with les belles dames imprinted onto the surface. Put a piece of ribbon through them and you can hang them anywhere!

Every piece of artwork has a 2 inch diameter.

Quantities are very LIMITED which makes them unique and special.

Soon on Etsy!

:: Strawberry red ::

Normally the basic screenprints I use are in black. I love the pitch black on the brilliant white of the porcelain. But this time I used red prints in combination with soft pink and I really like the result! This teapot is a centre piece on your high tea table cause it is decorated all the way around. One side of the pot is decorated with Marie Louise, the other side with Helene, both looking flamboyant and dressed up for a night on the town. Check out Etsy for more details.

:: Les maisons des belles dames ::

These last few weeks I've been adding lots of new items to my online Etsy shop, including these four plates of my belles dames. When I once illustrated these four women in ink on paper it were just sketches of elegant French women. But after I made screenprints of them and started to use the women in different ways on my teapots and plates, they more and more became real women to me. In my imagination they all have their own personality and style: Jeanne introvert, Marie Louise very balanced, Helene romanic and chique and Madeleine young and witty. On this set of plates I also gave them a home that fits their lifestyle. I am very delighted about the way they turned out and I will definitely use these combinations on other items in the future.

:: Daisy flowers ::

In Winter my atelier is always a bit cold but now Spring has arrived and the sun is shining bright through the windows. How I love Spring! It is beautiful to see the grass is suddenly covered with daisy flowers. I took the opportunity to take some pics of my new flowery plates. Soon on Etsy!

:: Treasury ::

I am really greatful for my items to be included in beautiful Etsy Treasuries now and then. Thanks!! I picked a few to show you. A beautiful mix of creativity, don't you think?!
