Flow Magazine bracht deze zomer het Flow Women of the World-kleurboek uit, een kleurboek vol illustraties getekend door illustratoren van over de hele wereld. Les Belles Dames waren vereerd in dit boek te mogen staan en hebben hopelijk veel Flowlezers een aantal ontspannen kleuruurtjes bezorgd.

SUMMERTIME

CUSHION COVERS

I've been working on new products these last few months: cushion covers!
I'm very excited to show you the first examples!

There are 3 different prints in black on natural heavy canvas, combined with a bright colored dot and different colored backs. They are carefully screen printed and sewn by hand.

The cushion covers are being sewn together at this moment and will appear in the shop I think in two weeks! If you would like to pre-order please send an email to celindaversluis@hotmail.com

FLOWERY ENVELOPE FOR SNAIL MAIL IN FLOW MAGAZINE

In this month's issue of the Dutch Flow AND Flow Magazine International there's a beautiful large (almost A4 size) envelope with one of my 'dames' on the cover. The name of this lady is 'Ida', a intuitive person who doesn't look at the outward appearance of people, but at the heart.

You can use this envelope to store your important personal letters, little handwritten notes, beautiful poems or small things you treasure in.

VERSUS

These pictures were sent to me by Corine who bought a plate of lady Jeanne at EchtWaarBazaar in Utrecht last December. I like the contrast between painting and porcelain: small versus big, abstract versus figurative, elegance versus roughness, thick versus thin, white versus colorful..

TREASURY

I'm thankful my products are featured in many Treasury Lists on Etsy lately. I picked out these two cause of  their great style and color combination.

Treasury from Katerina Balyuk from Kiev, Oekraine.

Because every piece of vintage porcelain is decorated by me by hand, every piece is unique. Together with 'Les Belles Dames' posing elegantly, the combination of my illustrations on the pots and plates often tell little stories about where the women live, their personality and friendship. There are a lot of new items in the shop!

ARABIA COOKING

A heavy envelope dropped on my door mat today: the new cook book 'Arabia Bij Je Thuis'! This joyous Arabic-Mediterranean cook book is written by journalists, food stylists and writers Merijn Tol and Nadia Zerouali. Like their previous cook books 'Arabia' and 'Bismalla Arabia', it's a pure delight to the eyes. Every page looks so attractive that you just can't decide which dish you want to cook first! Besides great recipes the book is filled with beautiful artwork, stories and personal touches. And ...on page 21 and 95 some plates with Les Belles Dames are used for photography. Proud!

At this very moment I'm unpacking, checking and photographing lots of new gems! I'm adding them to the shop today and will be continuing to add more throughout this week.

FRESH

It's much fun breathing new life into antique crockery that would otherwise be put away in a box in the attic or basement or even thrown away. And it's even more fun they are valued by mostly fresh creative independent women from different parts of the world, who share the same passion for design, uniqueness and re-use. BLACK / WHITE

I experimented combining elegant white antique porcelain with Les Belles Dames and strong geometric shapes in black. I love the result! Within a month there will be a new black and white serie in my shop.
